Everything is in bloom, the bees are buzzing, birds are chirping. The beaches are almost deserted, the ancient sites blown by the wind of the ancestors. In the tavernas, we order whatever the family happens to be eating. On a trip to eastern Crete in early spring, my dear guests and I experience a feeling of mystical relaxation combined with a tingling sense of undiscovered adventure and the warmth of the hospitality of our fellow locals. A journey that unfortunately leaves too much to be desired, because even if we stop at every corner to savour the treasures of the East, we still leave too much undiscovered. Thanks to the countless ruins of a time long before Socrates, we could immerse ourselves much, much further in such a different world, we could listen endlessly to the sound of the various winds in the rugged landscape of gorges and caves. We could swap many more interesting stories with fishermen, weavers, monks and the imaginative younger generation. But at home, my guests have their own beautiful world awaiting them and I hope that they have taken a lot of positive energy from our trip, will remember the wonderful moments fondly and will tell their beloved ones about the beauty and hospitality we experienced on our journey together. Thank you all so much for the wonderful time and I hope to welcome many more guests as lovely as you! Your Dajana
